Curious about yoga and how to get started? You've come to the right place. Lotusland is a welcoming, sliding-scale yoga studio in San Francisco's Mission District, and every body is welcome.
If you're new to yoga, start with Vinyasa Basics. It moves at a slower pace, with longer-held postures, extra attention to alignment, prop use and personal attention. Gentle Flow & Restore is another great first class: a gentle vinyasa warm-up followed by supported restorative postures. Read the full descriptions on our Class Styles page to find the class that fits you best.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to check in, find your spot and gather your props. In-studio classes have a strict 5-minute late policy, and the teacher locks the door for everyone's security. We provide blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps; mats can be rented for $3 or are included with membership. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and stay after class for complimentary tea and cookies.
We're at 1360 Valencia Street, between 24th and 25th Streets in the Mission District. Take BART to 24th Street, the 48 bus to Valencia/24th, or the 14 Mission or 49 Van Ness to Mission and 24th. There are bike racks outside; parking is very limited, especially on Sundays.
All of our classes are sliding scale, so you can pay what works for you. Community classes are donation-based from $5-25, and sliding-scale memberships are available. See Prices & Policies for all the options.

I've enjoyed every class I've taken so far and I'm excited to explore more to help me get back on my mat!
