Welcome to
Lotusland Yoga SF
Your sanctuary in the city
Formerly Laughing Lotus Yoga Center on 16th Street, the new incarnation of our 25 year Yoga history invites you to explore different styles, levels and practices of yoga on a sliding-scale and donation basis. Our mission is to make the timeless practices of Yoga accessible in an intentionally inclusive and more intimate space that is dedicated to offering you more personal attention and fostering community connection. Whether you prefer a fun, sweaty flow with a soulful playlist and chanting, arm balances and inversions or a class that is more meditative and nurturing with spacious silence and deep relaxation to workshops and teacher trainings— We’ve got you covered!

Experience a transformative, heart-opening yoga practice that is accessible to everyone! Bhakti yoga or marg is the path of love and devotion. Bhakti flow is a non-sectarian spiritual practice that focuses on the whole being - teaching us to love unabashedly, unapologetically and unconditionally.
Friday Nov. 8th
with Astrud & Friends
A community celebration honoring the spirit of gratitude by giving thanks and praise through sacred song, offering food donations to the SF Food Bank and enjoying vegan chai and treats together in our Lotusland sanctuary.
All our classes and teachers aim to support and deepen your practice by sharing all 8 limbs of yoga as a way of life. From basic flow to begin your practice or advanced 2/3 classes to challenge yourself, you will stretch and strengthen your body, awaken your spirit, and calm and quiet your mind for a wholistic approach to Yoga and wellness that addresses the whole person with the intention of being of benefit to our world. In nearly every offering you can expect expert teachings to embody Yoga’s essential philosophy of union with the Self and the universe through asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, meditation and relaxation.
Join Jasmine Tarkeshi and her expert team of passionate Lotusland co-teachers for a 13 weekend immersive course at Lotusland in SF or virtually to where ever you are. Sequencing and teaching asana, practicing pranayama and leading meditation are all taught interwoven with exploring and practicing yoga’s rich history and teachings on Sanskrit, chakras, mantras and mudras, spiritual texts such as the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita. Our training is adapted to support your unique voice and life through yogic lifestyle practices like Ayurveda and taught through the lens of trauma informed yoga, inclusivity and social equity to make yoga accessible to every body.
