Reignite your passion for your practice and teaching!
Friday 6-8 | Saturday & Sunday 1-7:30
Join advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher Amanda Moran in a weekend immersion on the art of hands on assists. In this 2 day Immersion for Yoga teachers you will overcome hesitancy and gain confidence in safely offering the gift of hands on assists, while teaching either a led class or a private session. The immersion will explore the scriptural basis for a sound teacher student relationship in which both parties are elevated and the benefits of practice are increased, the physical dynamics for safe assisting, and the energetic alignment structures underpinning this ancient art. Amanda will guide you through a vinyasa class incorporating sthiram and sukham, or steady and joyful assists, in surya namaskar, standing poses, arm balances, inversions, backbends and forward bends.
In this post-pandemic world, many of us shy from touch, and the me too movement brought a much needed conversation on the boundaries of consent. We will explore these issues, and how those might play out in the context of a yoga class, as we learn the most practical and useful assists, and how to integrate them in a dynamic class environment. A Jivamukti teacher for over 20 years, Amanda learned the art of assisting from master teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life and Ruth Lauer Manenti, who emphasize that Yoga is a liberation practice. Requirement: a minimum 200 hour yoga teacher certification.
* Assists for basic poses and students* Assisting advanced poses* Assessing how best to serve the specific student* Assists for privates and individuals vs for large groups

Reignite your passion for your practice and teaching!
Step out of your comfort zone and explore weaving the ancient wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras through your teaching and practice by bringing yoga’s timeless teaching to life through the lens of Lotus Flows’ dynamic and devotional dance and discipline of creative sequencing.
Jasmine Tarkeshi and Kate Duyn will bring the wisdom and creativity from their years of personal practice, study and teaching to facilitate a space for disciplined practice: Tapas, svadyaya: self study and inquiry and Isvarapranidhana: surrender and service. You will be inspired and initiated into becoming a more confident, creative and compassionate teacher as you deepen your devotion to your personal Sadhana and self study and be encouraged to teach and practice through the lens of your own lived experience.
This weekend intensive and 300 hour advanced module focuses on the architecture of Lotus Flow and allowing your personal expression of asana and Dharma of the Sutras to shine through. The Yoga Sutras are time tested recipes that work, while our Lotus Flow Vinyasa allows us to throw in whatever we have in the cosmic kitchen of the moment and create something new. Together, we can anchor our practice and teaching to integrate both sides of our brain towards Unity.
We will fully explore the philosophy of Vinyasa Karma, wise progression, in sequencing towards a peak or “Maha Pose". We will start each day getting physical, exploring the framework of Lotus Flow through the Chakra system and physical anatomy. The afternoon lectures and practice teaching sessions will include the practice of svadyaya or self-study, as we delve into The Yoga Sutras, yoga’s darshana and the essential text that accompany these luminous manifestations. This timeless wisdom is the teacher's anchor, and can be a mirror for self-reflection. Building a personal connection and deeper relationship with these guiding principles helps express these universal teachings honestly and authentically through you. Personal contemplation, group discussion, practice and teaching will support you during this 3 day as you learn to incorporate yoga’s fundamental nature into your own sadhana, teaching, and life. We will also cover topics including creating authentic themes and Dharma talks, threading the theme, the use of music, mudras, movement and mantra in your classes. Discover how these tools will amplify your classes while inspiring your teaching.
Open to anyone with a 200 Hour Teacher Training Certificate for YA CE credits or experienced practitioners wanting to deepen their practice.

This advanced training explores the therapeutic use of yoga on the path to healing trauma and enhancing mental health. In this two-day training designed for yoga and meditation teachers, clinicians, educators, direct service providers, and experienced students, we will explore the vital role that the facilitator can play in not only preventing harm but empowering practitioners in regulating trauma symptoms and feeling embodied.
Trauma knows no boundaries regarding age, gender, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
People are suffering.
Trauma is a common experience for adults and children in American communities, and it is widespread in the lives of people with mental and substance use disorders. For this reason, the need to address trauma is an essential part of effective behavioral health care and an integral part of the healing and recovery process. Can trauma-informed, mindfulness-based yoga improve mental health and mitigate the effects of trauma? The use of evidence-based techniques from yoga and mindfulness to aid in the recovery of PTSD is a promising area of yoga therapy, where research points toward several mechanisms through which yoga can reduce symptoms of PTSD and support those experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, stress, or overwhelm. As yoga teachers, we must have a foundational understanding of how we can support practitioners on their healing journey.
• Understanding Trauma: Explore the science and psychology of trauma, gaining insights into how it impacts the mind and body.
• Mindfulness in Healing: Learn how mindfulness practices can promote resilience, self- regulation, and emotional well-being.
• Safe and Inclusive Yoga: Understand the principles of trauma-sensitive yoga and how to modify asanas (poses), breath practices, meditation, and sequences for diverse populations.
• Creating a Healing Environment: Develop the skills to foster trust, safety, and empowerment in your yoga classes.
• Self-Care for Teachers: Discover how to prioritize self-care and prevent burnout as a yoga teacher working with trauma-sensitive populations.
• Practical Exercises: Engage in hands-on practice, including mindfulness and meditation techniques suitable for trauma survivors.
