A yoga practitioner since 1996 and a certified yoga teacher since 2005, Chanda is dedicated to increasing access to Mind-Body approaches that are accessible to diverse populations.
She is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and a UCSF postdoctoral research fellow focusing on integrative health and health disparities. She has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and two master’s degrees in integrative health and depth somatic psychology. A long-time yoga practitioner, yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer, and yoga therapist, Chanda aims to support the complex healing journey for those who have experienced trauma with care, compassion, and understanding.
For more than 10 years, she taught trauma-informed, mindfulness-based yoga practices to incarcerated populations at jails and prisons in California, including San Quentin State Prison. With her significant experience and certifications from various organizations, Chanda is dedicated to spreading awareness about the profound impact of body-mind practices to overcome trauma, improve mental health, and cultivate a sense of greater well-being.
