Ati's classes offer a well rounded vinyasa practice that keep the connection between prana (breath) and asana (posture) very present to stay in a constant meditation in movement. She wants everyone to find a deeper understanding and love of their body. Her classes are dynamic, offering alignment cues and playful transitions like a dance, and an invitation to try more challenging asanas with a smile.
Ati is Persian/Parisian - born in Iran and grew up in Paris with her family. She discovered yoga in 2009 in Paris, on her healing journey after an injury where she would join class once or twice a week, but within a few months, she was practicing every single day! During one class, and, more precisely, during a twist, she saw a poster for a yoga retreat in India. She saw that as an opportunity to deepen her practice and understand where Yoga comes from.
After the retreat, she wandered in South East Asia for a few months, spending some time in a Buddhist Temple practicing Meditation, and taking yoga classes wherever she could. Back to Paris, started a Yoga teacher training with Gerard Arnaud. She began teaching Vinyasa classes in several studios in Paris in 2012.
When she moved to San Francisco with her husband 8 years ago, Ati continued to develop her practice in several studios in the city and found real joy in her classes at Laughing Lotus. During the pandemic, she perfected her teacher skills with Noah Maze with a special focus on anatomy and taught virtually and in Dolores Park! She is so excited to to teach in person again and be a part of the Lotusland community.
Mom of a beautiful daughter, she's also an illustrator and a contemporary dancer.
